Dear Family,
Bill and I were classmates at St. John's. I remember "interviewing" Attorney Brazil for a school project with Billy. What a shock, what a loss. Please know that you and Bill are in my thoughts, prayers and heart, Father Joe Kennedy, Ocean City, Maryland

Mary Ellen, John, Michael, and Frank: My deepest sympathies. I have so many wonderful memories of Billy and all of you as we grew up. Of Billy behind the counter at the gas station or trotting in from the outfield at South Catholic like his hero Mickey Mantle. He was a good man and a great friend.

Mary Ellen, John, Mike, and Frank,
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers., My favorite memories of Billy are from campaigning for him at the ripe old age of 10 when he successfully ran for State Representative. He was the first person to introduce me to the world of politics and the Democratic process. Great memories, great times, great man!
Love,

I still remember the pride I felt when Billy, our State Representive, spoke at our graduation ceremonies 38 years ago.
I work with people on a daily basis. Never in my years have I come across a more kind, considerate, friendly and welcoming individual than Bill McLane. Always a big hello and a hug from him. He truly was a person who appreciated his friends.
Knowing the McLane family I know those qualities were instilled in all of you by your parents. You should all be proud of that.
Jim and I send our sympathy to the entire McLane family. I know there will be hurt in yours hearts and a great void in the hearts of Minooka and the town itself. I feel sure the void will be filled with many happy Billy McLane stories and memorable thoughts to keep him alive in your hearts and in the heart of Minooka.
Love and sympathy to you all,
Evie and Jim McNulty
