Zelda Williams, 97, a resident of the Julia Ribaudo Nursing Center in Lake Ariel, and formerly of Zephyrhills, Fla., died Sunday evening after a brief illness. She was the widow of Harold R. Williams, who died Oct. 2, 1978.

Born Oct. 28, 1915, in Sterling, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Gerdie Silfee Megargel.
The family would like to thank the staff at Julia Ribaudo Nursing Center for the kindness and compassionate care that they provided to Zelda these past three years.
Surviving are her son, Robert Williams and wife, Charlene, of Sterling; two grandchildren, Scott Williams of Owings, Md.; and Shannon Olsommer and husband, Warren, of Canadensis; two great-grandchildren, Justine and Zachary Olsommer.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lester Megargel; and her sister, Katherine Verno.
Private graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton, with the Rev. Patricia Lee as officiating clergy.
