Robert Bryce "Rocky" Blair, 76, of Reynoldsville, died Thursday at Allegheny General Hospital. On Aug. 11, 1979, he married the former Cheryl Diane Boyer, who survives.
Born Dec. 24, 1935, in Carbondale, the son of the late Rollin and Jesse Marsh Blair. He was an excellent body shop repairman and painter. He owned Blair's Auto Body for more than 30 years.
A carpenter by hobby, he built his own home and was handy at everything. He enjoyed traveling and watching NASCAR.
He is also survived by five children, Karen Robinson and husband, Tom, of Tunkhannok; Chris Gigliotti and husband, Vince, of Punxsutawney; Missy Young and husband, Wayne, of Anita; Michael Rogowski of Scranton; and Bobby Blair of Anita; seven grandchildren, Kim Lee and husband, Justin; Thomas Robinson and wife, Vicki; Lakyn and Devan Riggie; Shawna Gigliotti, Samantha Rogowski and Sara Travis; four great-grandchildren, Eli and Alex Robinson; Brayden Knisely and Addison Travis; two brothers, Roy and George Blair, both of Jermyn; two sisters, Shirley Anderson and husband, Wes, of Myrtle Beach, N.C.; and Ruth Simrell of Jermyn.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Rollin Blair Jr.; and a sister, Janet Streznetsky; a grandson, Adam Travis; a great-granddaughter, Madelyn Lee; and mother-in-law, Wanda L. Boyer on Oct. 3.
His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Shumaker Funeral Home Inc., Punxsutawney, officiated by Pastor Steven J. Hendrickson. Interment will follow at Vandervort Cemetery, Summerville.
He and his mother-in-law, Wanda, will share visitation Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
