Doris M. Guinther, 89, of Honesdale, died on Thursday at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Edward S. Guinther.
Born on April 5, 1923, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Josephine Harding Johnson.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mary Ann Glisson; four sons, Daniel Sr., Robert, Michael and John; a brother, Harry Johnson; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, Honesdale. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may visit at Hessling Funeral Home Inc., 428 Main St., Honesdale, on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
