Elaine Andrewsh, 74, of Blakely, died Saturday morning at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Michael Andrewsh. They have been married for 48 years.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Stanley T. and Catherine Moleski Adamski, she was a graduate and valedictorian of Dickson City High School, class of 1955. She was a member of St. Mary's Visitation Church in Dickson City and was employed at JCPenney's for 19 years before her retirement. She was a loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother and sister who devoted her life to her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, baking, home decorating and gardening, and especially loved spending time with her dog "Nala."

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Sacred Heart for its compassionate and dignified care.

Also surviving are her two daughters, Loreen and husband, Joseph Rosar of Dickson City; and Jennifer and husband, Chris Gohean of Malvern, Pa.; one son, Michael Andrewsh of Pittsburgh; one grandson, Steven Rosar of Boca Raton, Fla.; two sisters, Theresa Olevnik, of Dickson City; and Charlotte Andreski and husband Walter, of Mount Cobb; one brother, Carl Adamski and wife, Stasia, of Dickson City; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, 402 Boulevard Ave., Dickson City, with Mass of Christan Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Visitation Church, Dundaff Street, Dickson City, to be celebrated by the Rev. Walter F. Skiba. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park Cemetery, Montdale.
