Arnold F. Bisciaio, 91, a South Scranton resident, died Thursday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, the former Anna Sciacchitano, on March 6, 2011.

Born in Perugia, Italy, son of the late Vittorio Bisciaio and the late Angelina Gatti Bisciaio Dal Pizzol, he immigrated with his parents to the United States at the age of 2. He was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Parish and attended Scranton public schools. He was employed for more than 40 years at Lackawanna Pants Manufacturing, until its closure. He was a retired employee of Pawnee Pants Manufacturing in Olyphant. He was a member of Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, serving as a sergeant in Germany.
The family would like to thank Dr. Patrick Conaboy and staff for years of care and concern for Arnold, and Caregivers of America, whose services allowed Arnold to live in his own home, and to the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania, its staff and administrators, where he was a resident for seven weeks.
Surviving are a daughter, Marlynn Bisciaio, Scranton; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Bisciaio; a stepfather, Peter Dal Pizzol; and a sister, Velia Bisciaio.
The funeral will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the August J. Haas Funeral Home Inc., 202 Pittston Ave., Scranton, with Mass at 10 in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 630 Genet St., Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Scott Sterowski, pastor. Interment, Italian-American Cemetery, Minooka section of Scranton.
