Harry Ronald Rivenburg, 76, of Bel Air, Md., died Dec. 22 at Gilchrist Center in Towson, Md. Ron is survived by his wife of 53 years, Beverly.

Ron was born in Carbondale on March 2, 1936, the son of the late Harry and Viola Rivenburg. He graduated from Scott High School and continued on to receive a BS from the University of Scranton. He later received an MBA from Loyola College. Ron served in the Army from 1959 to 1962 and retired in 1991 from Lockheed Martin.
Ron's early retirement gave both he and Bev many opportunities for wonderful vacations and cruises. He passed away peacefully with family members present.
Ron is also survived by his daughters, Robin Hopkins and husband, Cliff, Bel Air; and Penny Buranen and husband, Douglas, North East, Md.; a son, Kevin Rivenburg and wife, Deborah, Amissville, Va.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; family and friends.
Ron was also preceded in death by a sister, Alice Everitt; and two brothers, Rex and Russell Rivenburg.
A memorial service was held on Jan. 5 at Bel Air United Methodist Church.
