Lorraine E. Locks of Chapman Lake died Thursday at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the widow of William Stanley Locks, who died in 1984.

Born in Simpson, Fell Twp., daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Lucas Wallace, she attended St. Michael's Church, Simpson and Assumption Parish, Colesville. She was a 1958 graduate of Fell High School. She worked as a waitress at Grossinger's Catskill Resort Hotel.
She was a loving mother and homemaker. She also worked as a caretaker, caring for numerous people. She loved nature and the outdoors and enjoyed her camping trip to Stern's Camping Grounds, South Gibson; and fishing trips to Canada. She loved her dogs, Ginger, Duke and Lilly.
Surviving are a son, William Locks and fiancée, Lindsey Rushworth, Chapman Lake; two daughters, Cheryl Farkas and husband, Stephen, Cumming, Ga.; and Cynthia Young and husband, Jon, Hellertown; five grandchildren, Matthew Z. and Hannah A. Farkas; Jon, Lucas and Jacob Young; several nieces and nephews including, Jennifer, Audrey, Debbie, John and Michael Wallace; and Maria, Joyce, Karen, Jackie and Richard Swinarski.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Kenneth W. Locks; a brother, Jack Wallace; a sister, JoAnne Swinarski; a long time friend and companion, Michael Carey, who died Oct. 6; and a nephew, Joseph Swinarski.
The funeral will Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in St. Michael's Church, Simpson. Spring interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Simpson.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 10:30.
