Gregory Laurence Frayne of Flower Mound, Texas, died Wednesday.

Born Jan. 25, 1986, in Kingston, he was the son of Laurence and Marion Frayne, formerly of Scranton. Gregory graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in organic chemistry. He was accepted into the chemistry graduate program at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and after completing master's-level studies, accepted a position with World Wide Clinical Trials, Austin, Texas. He was anticipating returning to doctoral studies at the University of Texas, Arlington, in the coming fall semester. During his undergraduate years, he served two summer internships with GlaxoSmithKline in Raleigh, N.C., and coauthored a research article that was published in the Scientific Journal, Tetrahedron Letters, in 2008.

Gregory enjoyed music and was a semiprofessional guitarist. He had a contagious sense of humor and was a source of great joy and love to his parents and brothers.

He is also survived by his brothers, Brendan and Darren Frayne, Flower Mound.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Margaret O'Boyle; and Margaret Frayne.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Flower Mound Family Funeral Home, Flower Mound, Texas, www.flower
