Margaret "Maggie" Skumanich, 94, of Jessup, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. She was the widow of John "Yank" Skumanich, who died Dec. 1, 1986.

Born in Jessup, daughter of the late Michael and Anna Zeock Wally, she attended Jessup schools and was employed at Billig Shoe Factory for many years. She was a lifelong Jessup resident and a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Jessup.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose family meant everything to her, especially Clem, Lisa and Kayleigh, with whom she resided. She was an extremely kind, generous and hard-working woman who loved to cook and bake for her family, friends and neighbors. She always cared for others, placing their needs above her own. Her enjoyment was watching polka dancing and listening to the music. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Jean Marie Ziminskas and husband, Gerald, Jessup; a son, John Skumanich and wife, Mary Lou, Olyphant; grandchildren, John and Michael Skumanich, Lisa Matz and Jerry Ziminskas; great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Jacob and Emma Ziminskas, Justin, Joseph and Jason Skumanich, and Kayleigh Matz; a sister, Jean Laboranti, Bridgeport, Conn.; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary; and a brother, Michael Wally.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., Jessup, with Divine Liturgy at 11 in Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Jessup. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery.
