Evelyn Fornaszewski, North Scranton, died Friday morning in Regional Hospital of Scranton after a brief illness. She was the wife of Edward Fornaszewski, who died in 1992.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Benjamin and Evelyn Rosencranz O'Leary, she was a lifelong resident of the city. She worked with her daughter, Lynn, as a bartender at Labs Frosted Mugs in Dunmore. She enjoyed many years of traveling and going to the casinos.
Surviving are a son, Randy, Scranton; six grandchildren, Christopher, Joseph and Matthew Laboranti; Brittany, Monica and Melisa Fornaszewski; two sisters, Mary Boyd, Geogia; and Pat Cruise, Scranton; a number of nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Laboranti; and a brother, Benjamin O'Leary.
Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Bomberger-Lesko Funeral Home Inc., 1660 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
