Cindy G. Grover, 54, of Blakely, died Thursday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was the wife of Edgar O. Grover, who died Dec. 2, 1997.

Born Aug. 26, 1958, in Cobleskill, N.Y., daughter of the late Freeman and Doris Zeh Sperbeck, she had been employed as a nurse's aide for 25 years and was last employed at the Golden Living Center in Scranton. She was a member of the American Legion, Raymond Henry Post 327, in Olyphant.
Her hobby was making crafts and she had a special talent for arranging artificial floral bouquets.
She is survived by her fiancé, Stephen Kovach of Blakely; three sons, Roy Grover and wife, Lorraine, Childs; Dave Grover and wife, Melanie, Forest City; and Kirt Grover and Tanya, Scott Twp.; five sisters, Roxann Stockdale and husband, George, Worcester, N.Y.; Mary Alice Shafer and husband, William, East Worcester, N.Y.; Debbie Greiner and husband, Harry, Oneonta, N.Y.; Terry Davidson and husband, John, Cobleskill; and Star Poliseno and husband, Joseph, Schenevus, N.Y.; two brothers, Jody Sperbeck and wife, Michelle, Schenevus.; and Duane Sperbeck and wife, Kathy, Anchorage, Alaska; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Minnie Keehle; and Cindy's dear friends, Gloria Martillie and Trudy Delawder, who cared for her during her illness.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Briss Burton; and a brother, Buddy Sperbeck.
The funeral will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Farview and 41st streets, Carbondale, with the Rev. Donald Schaible, pastor of the Trinity Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, Montdale.
