Helen E. Mangino of Scranton died Friday at Mountain View Care Center, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Mangino, on May 26, 2003.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Nellie Pettorelli and was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Before retirement, she was employed as a supervisor for Gertrude Hawk Chocolates. She was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish, Dunmore.
Eleanor was a joyful, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her life revolved around her family and friends, baking, cooking and giving of herself to all she loved. Her kindness has touched the hearts of countless individuals, and her traditions and values will continue through her children. The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to all staff at Mountain View Care Center who so lovingly cared for her.
Surviving are a son, Joseph T. Mangino and wife, Linda, Scranton; two daughters, Paula A. Rose and husband, Harry, Exeter, and Barbara A. Brush and husband, James, Scranton; six grandchildren, Joseph Mangino Jr., Jolina Mangino, Dr. Harry Rose, Donny Rose, Lauren Brush Leisner and Dana Brush; four great-grandchildren, Joshua Rose, Logan Rose, Aleara Rose and William Leisner; several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Dominick Pettorelli, and two sisters, Mary Lipnicki and Ann Marciano.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Albert P. O'Donnell Funeral Home, 2025 Green Ridge St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 122 Kurtz St., Dunmore. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery.
