Wilford H. Dutcher, 73, of Spring Brook Twp., and formerly of Cortland, N.Y., died Monday at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton following an illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Henry Dutcher, in 2005.

Born Feb. 2, 1940, in Hurleyville, N.Y., he was employed by Murray Center and GSG of Cortland, N.Y., before retirement. He was a member of the Northeast Fishing Club and the Northeast Hunting Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Beverly A. Dutcher and fiancé, Donald R. Stalker, Spring Brook Twp.; a son, Robert A. Dutcher, Cortland; four grandchildren, Brandon, Alison, Alexis and Iziah; a brother, Charles "Bob" Dutcher; and four sisters, Elnora "Pat" Hatch and husband, Raymond; Martha Hinkley and husband, Richard; Helen Dutcher and Linda Porter; many nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be Saturday at noon at 213 Hatfield Road, Cortland.
