Edward E. Mikolon, 67, of Herrick Center, died at his home on Tuesday. His wife is the former Elizabeth Paulsen.

Born in Carbondale on July 22, 1945, he was the son of the late Emil and Lena Steponaitis Mikolon. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Scranton, and of the Free and Accepted Masons of the Mount Hermon Lodge No. 472, Union Dale. He was a graduate of Forest Regional High School and of Lackawanna College, Scranton. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. Before his retirement, he was a correction officer at SCI Waymart.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors.
Also surviving are one daughter, Jennifer Prezelski and husband, David, Mountaintop; two sons, Gregory Mikolon and wife, Alexandria, Beverly, Mass.; and Christopher Mikolon and wife, Angela, Christiania, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Noah Prezelski and Christian and Sydney Mikolon; a brother, Emil Mikolon; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Jones and Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main St., Forest City, with services by the Rev. Susan Hardman-Zimmerman. Interment will be in Union Dale Cemetery.
