Yolanda "Viola" Goleneski, 90, of Old Forge, died Saturday morning at home. She was the widow of Stanley Goleneski, who died on July 7, 1997.

She was born in Old Forge, daughter of the late John and Mary Trotta DeSimone, and was a graduate of Old Forge High School. She was employed at the Dutchess Factory and Rohr Lingerie, both of Old Forge. She was a member Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.
Viola's greatest love was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are two sons, John and wife, Janet, Avoca; and Joseph and wife, Leslie, Dupont; a granddaughter, Olivia; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Leonard, Ambrose, Albert and James; and sisters, Josephine Trotta, Angeline Collins and Della DeSimone.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Palermo and Zawacki Funeral Home Inc., 409 N. Main St., Old Forge, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Mary's Church, Grace and Lawrence streets, Old Forge. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea.
