Frank Everett Ward, 87, a lifelong Montdale resident, died Thursday morning at Mid-Valley Manor, Eynon. His wife, the former Megan Fletcher, died Dec. 20, 1998. They were married for 52 years.

Born in Montdale, son of the late Frank B. and Cora Eley Ward, he owned and operated Ward's Garage in Montdale for many years before his retirement. He graduated from Scott High School and went into the military shortly thereafter. He served in the Army in the 100th Infantry as a rifleman during World War II. He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge, Jermyn.

He was a kind and loving great-grandfather, grandfather, father and husband who enjoyed traveling with his wife, Megan.

Surviving are two daughters, Mindy Boccadori and husband, Sam, Olyphant; and Wendy Turissini and husband, Alan, Carrollton, Va.; five grandchildren, Steven Ward, Paul, Daniel and Jennifer Boccadori, and Amanda Turissini; and four great-grandchildren, Liliana, Nicholas, Ariella and Daniel Boccadori.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, John; two sisters, Mildred and Eleanor; and a daughter, Ruth Ward Ondrick.

The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville. Interment, Scott Valley Cemetery, Montdale.
