Joseph A. Washeleski, 55, of Carbondale, died Thursday at Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center, Blakely. His wife is the former Nancy Levine.

Born in Carbondale, son of the late Alfred and Irene Bodziony Washeleski, he was a member of St. Michael's Church, Simpson, and its Holy Name Society. He was a graduate of Carbondale Area High School, class of 1976, and he attended the University of Scranton. He was employed as a warehouse supervisor for Arlington Industries, Taylor, having previously worked for Grumman Olson, Mayfield.
Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey Washeleski, Exton; two sisters, Jean Marie Fetzko and husband, Phil, Kramer; and Mary Lou Bolinger, Simpson; mother- and father-in-law, Joseph and Dolly Romanyshyn Levine, Carbondale; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael's Church, Simpson. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, Simpson. All those attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church.
