Joseph T. Keating died Tuesday at home as a result of a heart attack.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Irene Loftus Keating. Joseph was a veteran who served in the Army AMEDS Dental Corps. He owned the Anthracite Bridge C. and Phoenix Roofing Co., both construction concerns in Scranton, and retired as both an investor in houses and apartments that he renovated and sold and as an employee of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Surviving are his children, David and Gretchen Keating, Milwaukee, Wis.; Stephen and Leslie Keating, Fairfield, Conn.; Dr. Lauren Hazzouri, Waverly; Dr. Albert A. Hazzouri Jr., Scranton; Andrew and Stacy Keating, New York, N.Y.; and five grandchildren, Hunter, Ava, Stephen, Matthew and Alex.
The funeral will be Monday from Eugene A. Cusick Funeral Home, Jefferson Avenue, Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul Church, Penn Avenue, Scranton. Friends are asked to go directly to the church. Interment, St. Catherine Cemetery, Moscow.
Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
