Alice Washeleski, 68, of Eynon, died Thursday at VNA Hospice, Geisinger Community Medical Center. She was the wife of Benjamin R. Washeleski and they were married for 39 years.

Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Clifton and Alma Elkins Jones. Alice was a graduate of Blakely High School and before retirement worked at Lockheed Martin, Archbald.
Alice loved spending time with her grandchildren and helping take care of them. They were her pride and joy.
Also surviving are daughter, Brenda Gocek and her husband, Matthew, Peckville; sister, Janet Glossenger and her husband, Donald, Lake Ariel; brother, Donald Jones and wife, Loretta, Peckville; goddaughter, Jessica Devine, Lake Ariel; grandchildren, Jocelyn and Talan Gocek; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Richard and Ronald.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 6 p.m. in the Robert E. Decker Funeral Home, 702 River St., Peckville, with services by the Rev. Christopher Sahd. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
