Mabel Miller, 83, of Clarks Summit, formerly of Dalton, died Friday morning at Mountain View Care Center in Scranton.

Born in Dalton, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Beatrice Miller. She was a 1950 graduate of Dalton High School and a Girl Scout leader for 10 years. Before her retirement, she was employed by Lourdesmont for many years. She was a member of the Dalton United Methodist Church.
She loved her family and friends very much, especially Cayton, Jackson and Joshua and their mother, Odalie Cramer Curtis, their aunt, Jocelyn Cramer Rollison and uncle, Nick Cramer.
Surviving are two nephews, Gerald Barns and wife, Judy; and Lee Barns and wife, Linda; and six grand-nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lewis, Erwin and Elvin Miller; two sisters, Lois Barns and Selma Miller; and a sister-in-law, Norma Miller.
A memorial service will be Monday at 11 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. Lori Robinson, pastor, Dalton United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Miller Cemetery, Scott Twp.
Friends may call Monday from 10 until time of service at the funeral home.
