Lorraine V. Bianchi Albiero, 81, of Eynon, died Tuesday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. Her husband of 58 years is Joseph F. Albiero.

A lifelong Eynon resident, daughter of the late Carlo and Anna Grabin Bianchi, she was a graduate of Archbald High School and was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville, and a former member of Our Lady of Vilna Church, Eynon. She was employed at Weston Components, Archbald, the Barbizon Dress Factory, Jessup, and as a cafeteria cashier at the Valley View High School. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eynon VFW Post 7963.
Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Her family will always remember her loving hugs, wonderful food and her willingness to always help and be there.
Also surviving are three daughters; Julianne Walton and husband, James, Eynon; Lori Ann Scopelliti and husband, Robert, Scranton; and Anita Jo Young and husband, Jack, Sturges; six grandchildren, Joshua and wife, Liza; Sean and wife, Sarah; Justin, Matthew, Carly and Holly; a great-grandson, Joshua; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Carl "Judgie" Bianchi.
The funeral will be Saturday from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. Entombment, St. Francis cemetery, Eynon. Friends may call Thursday and Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann's Monastery, St. Ann's St., Scranton; or the Ronald McDonald House, Mulberry St., Scranton, PA.
