Wanda E. Leuthe, 84, a resident of Abington Manor and formerly of Factoryville, died Friday morning at the manor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leuthe, on July 3, 2011.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Allison and Elizabeth Peters Love, she was a member of the Jackson Street Baptist Church, West Scranton. She was a 1947 graduate of West Scranton High School and she had been employed as a dental assistant at the office of Drs. Smirne, Stavisky and Giallorenzi.
Wanda was a loving, caring and giving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, who was meticulous in her home and appearance. She placed others before herself and helped anyone in need. She was a terrific neighbor, who enjoyed planting flowers and caring for all animals. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Surviving are five children, Robert Leuthe and wife, Cheryl, Moscow; Pam Seamans and husband, Terry, Fleetville; Sandy Talarico and husband, Paul, Honesdale; David Leuthe and wife, Cindy, Fleetville; and Randy Leuthe and wife, Jodi, Newton; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Love and wife, Peggy, Scranton; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with services by Pastor David Betts, Hospice of the Sacred Heart, and Deacon James Harris, Jackson Street Baptist Church. Interment, Chase Cemetery, Fleetville.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11.
