Willis H. Arthur, 92, of Simpson, died Tuesday at Creekside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carbondale. His wife of 35 years is Helen Regal-Arthur.

Born in Burnwood, Ararat Twp., son of the late Willis Sr. and Reba Arthur, he was a dairy farmer for many years and later was employed in the Optics Division of Gentex Corp., Simpson. Willis enjoyed fishing and gardening and was fond of his winter employment at a local Christmas tree farm.
The family would like to thank the staff of Creekside Nursing Center for its compassionate and kind care of Willis.
He is also survived by two sons and their wives, Donald and Lynda Arthur, Union Dale; and Harold "Chip" and Linda Arthur, South Gibson; a daughter, Betty Jean and husband, Arnold Carey, New Milford; a stepson, Peter and wife, Jerilyn Regal, Simpson; a stepdaughter, Dr. Laura and husband, T.J. Shrestha, Vienna, Va.; a brother, Clifford Arthur, Binghamton, N.Y.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Marcho; three sons, Robert, Hollis and Terry; and an infant daughter, Reba.
The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home Inc., 621 Main St., Simpson, with services by the Rev. Sharon Dietz. Interment at a later date in Ararat Cemetery.
