Albert "Ronnie" Martinelli, 64, of Dunmore, died early Saturday at the Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center in Olyphant.

Born in Scranton, son of Sarah Silvi Martinelli of Dunmore and the late Albert Martinelli, Ronnie was a graduate of Dunmore High School, class of 1968, and went on to graduate from Lackawanna Business College. Before retirement, he was employed at PNC Bank in Scranton and Blockbuster in Dunmore. He was a member of Presbyterian Church of Dunmore.

Ronnie loved spending time at casinos and traveling to New York City as often as he could. He was known for being a kind person, always taking great care of his mom, aunt Phyllis, and little buddy and friend, Teddy the poodle. He volunteered and greatly enjoyed working at the Dunmore Senior Center. He will be well remembered for his wit, humor and smile.

Also surviving are his cousins and best friends who never left his side, Brenda Gallagher and husband, Jack; and Donna Jenkins, all of Dunmore; his aunt, Phyllis Tenti and daughter, Annette Tenti-Scep, both of Dunmore; his very close friends, Pat and Angie Greco, Olyphant; as well as numerous other cousins and friends.

He was also preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Dunmore, Chestnut Street, with services by the Rev. Ken Forbes. Interment will be at a later date at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

Friends may call Wednesday from 10:30 until time of service at the church.
