Ann M. Sholcosky, 67, of Throop, died Sunday morning at Moses Taylor Hospital after an illness.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Chester and Frances Medici Sholcosky, she was a graduate of Throop High School, class of 1964, and was a former member of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Throop. She was employed for more than 19 years at B & G Pants Factory and 10 years for the Haband Co. before her retirement.
She was a loving sister and aunt who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and also enjoyed day trips to the casinos.
She is survived by two sisters, her caregiver Stella Roque and husband, Joseph, Throop; and Patricia Ann Dolan, Olyphant; a brother, Joseph Sholcosky; her nephew and godson, Joseph Roque Jr., Chesapeake, Va.; her special niece, Fran Dolan, Scranton; several other nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Sholcosky; and her companion of 31 years, Bob Gibson.
There will be no public calling hours. Cremation by Maple Hill at Salem Crematory, Archbald. Service times will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, Dickson City.
