Edna D. Davis of Scranton died Saturday at Abington Manor, Clarks Summit. She was the widow of Reese William Davis, who died July 17, 1997.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Richard Fieldhouse and Edna Morgan Davies, she was a very active member of Clarks Green Assembly of God Church. She was educated in Scranton public schools and a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She was employed by the Wilmington Housing Authority, Grove Silk Mill and, before retirement, by Acker Drill. Edna also volunteered for AseraCare Hospice at Mid-Valley Hospital.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed.

Her family would like to thank Abington Manor, AseraCare and her many friends who spent time visiting and sent cards and for just being there.

Surviving are two sons, Reese W. Davis and wife, Vita Summa Davis, Greencastle; and Jonathan M. Davis and wife, Esther, Chinchilla; two daughters, Marybeth Smith and husband, Stevens J. Smith II, Pekin, Ill.; and Dorothy Davis Leach and husband, Bruce R. Leach, Lenoxville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Fieldhouse Davis; a brother, Richard Fieldhouse Davies; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Davies and Cornelia B. Davis.

The funeral will be Wednesday with services at 2 p.m. in Clarks Green Assembly of God Church by the Rev. Glenn White Jr., pastor. Interment, Oak Hill Cemetery, Towanda. Arrangements are by the Davies-Jones Funeral Chapel, 135 S. Main Ave., Scranton.

Friends may call Wednesday from 1 to 2 at the church.
