Richard R. Castelletti, 65, of Clarks Summit, died Saturday afternoon at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He was the husband of the former Kathy Fisne. The couple had been married for seven years.

Born in Martins Creek, son of Mary Schelero Castelletti and the late Amerigo Castelletti Sr., he was a 1966 graduate of Easton High School, received his bachelor's degree in social work from Kutztown University and went on to receive his master's from Marywood University. He was employed as a social worker for the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Allied Services in Scranton. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church and belonged to the Scranton Kayak Club. He was a proud Eagle Scout and a member of the National Rifle Association.
Richard was a man of strong faith and devoted his life to helping others. He was a champion advocate for the elderly as well as being a devoted AA sponsor for many individuals who needed his guidance. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles and camping, especially on his numerous trips to Lake George, N.Y. Richard also enjoyed sailing, shooting, and was an avid dog lover. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Also surviving are a brother, Amerigo Castelletti Jr. and his wife, Nancy, Nazareth; a sister, Maryann Wismer and her husband, Leo, Nazareth; 11 nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit. All those attending are asked to go directly to church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
