Benny H. Terry, 87, of Pleasant Mount, died Monday evening at home. His wife of 60 years is the former Joan O. Limbert.

Born in Pleasant Mount, son of the late Adolf and Amelia Terry, he was a member of the Herrick Center Baptist Church. A graduate of Pleasant Mount High School, he was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific theater. Before retirement, he was employed by Gentex Optics, Simpson. He was formerly employed by the Remington Arms Corp., Connecticut. He was a former farmer. He was a member of the former Belmont Fire Company, now Pleasant Mount Emergency Services. He enjoyed playing the accordion, playing cards and attending his Navy destroyer reunions with his wife.
Also surviving are a daughter, Louisa Rodriguez and husband, Albert Sr., Pleasant Mount; four grandchildren, Albert Rodriguez Jr.; Cindy Warburton and husband, Peter; Brandy Price and husband, Micah; and Elaina Rodriguez; five great-grandchildren, Jacob Warburton, Owen and Austin Price, and Madison and Benny Rodriguez; two sisters, Helen Janaco, Florida; and Alice Savage, New Jersey; several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Kuglar and Tillie Moore; and five brothers, Adolf, Walter, Rudolph, Gus and Jake Terry.
The funeral will be Friday with services at 10 a.m. in the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main St., Forest City, by the Rev. Jack Munley. Spring interment with military honors, Meyers Cemetery, Herrick Twp.
