Lillian A. Sorrentino Davis, 85, of Old Forge, died Saturday in Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Taylor. She was the widow of George Paul Davis, who died Dec. 2, 2003. The couple was wed on July 1, 1950.

Born June 14, 1928, in Old Forge, daughter of the late Rafaele and Italia D'Andrea Sorrentino, she was a 1945 graduate of Old Forge High School. Lillian was employed by Sally Blouse Co. in Old Forge. She then was self-employed as a beautician and wonderful seamstress. She was a faithful member of Moosic Assembly of God Church.

Lillian enjoyed life to the fullest. She served as grand marshal of Old Forge parades for many years. Having loved to share time with her husband at Maxie's, she would dance the night away to country music. Spending nights out with their friends while socializing and dining meant everything to her. Lillian loved her adorable puppy, Missy.

Upon her arrival at Riverside Rehab and Nursing Center, Lillian became known as "The Little Mayor." She greatly enjoyed family parties; and her son was the apple of her eye.

The Davis family would like to thank the staff of Riverside Rehab and Nursing Center for its wonderful care and concern for Lillian over the years, the Rev. and Mrs. David O'Brien and Moosic Assembly of God Church for being there for her, and Dr. Kenneth Sebastianelli and staff for all the years of kindness and great care.

Surviving are her only son, George Jude Davis and wife, Deborah Ann Sica Davis; her only grandchild, Harleigh Christina Davis; two sisters, Yolanda Sorrentino and Donna Resio, all of Old Forge; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Erma Orzolick, Nora Robbins and Frances Sorrentino.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Moosic Assembly of God Church, 477 Third St., Moosic, to be officiated by the Rev. David O'Brien, pastor. Interment will follow in Old Forge Cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Victor M. Ferri Funeral Home, Robert J. Gillette, Funeral Director, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge. To leave an online condolence, visit www.ferrifunera
