Anastasia T. Forish, a former resident of Peckville, died Saturday morning at Lackawanna Health and Rehab, Sturges. She was the widow of Charles J. Forish, who died Feb. 2, 1991.

Born in Peckville, daughter of the late John and Anna Stoback Donarovich, she attended and was a graduate of Archbald High School. Before retirement, she was employed as a cashier for A&P Markets. She was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, in Eynon, and a choir member for more than 70 years. She was also a member of the Sacred Heart Altar and Rosary, the Polish Union, where she was the former vice president of the Women's Division, Council 17, where she served as treasurer, and the Zonta Club.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at the Lackawanna County Health and Rehab for their exemplary care of Anastasia.
Surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth Koza and husband, Walter, Peckville; a son, John Forish and wife, Maria, Archbald; grandsons, Walter Koza and wife, Kerin; Brian Koza and Randy and Zachary Forish; a great-granddaughter, Claire Koza; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Frank Donarovich; and sisters, Helen and Josephine Donarovich and Alice Tracewski.
The funeral will be Tuesday with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, 417 Main St., Eynon. Interment will be at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
Relatives and friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St., Archbald.
