It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Isabel "Betty" Kishel of Pittston Twp., who entered into her eternal rest in the arms of our loving Lord on Saturday, March 29, 2014.

Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Archable and Dorothy Lidy Van Luvender. She was educated in city schools and received her real estate license from Luzerne County Community College. Betty worked as a seamstress and also at the Luzerne County Courthouse and for Century 21 Ruth K. Smith for 33 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Kishel; son, Albert Kishel; sisters, Fran, Irene and Peggy; and a brother, Tom.

Surviving are a son, Ronald and wife, Davie Ann; daughter-in-law, Judy Kishel; grandchildren, Craig Kishel, Cheryl Craig and husband, Mike; Kyle Kishel and wife, Lisa; Courtney Powell and husband, Mark; Kendra Evans, Chad Kishel and wife, Mia; and Kurt Kishel and wife, Dorota; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Slezak, Carol Whitmore, Wilma Webb, Joan Puthill, Gloria Sobrinski and Gladys Cannon.

Friends may call Tuesday, April 1, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 2, 2014, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William St., Pittston. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Luke Richards officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Exeter.
