Bette Jeanne Coccetti, 78, of Eynon, died Sunday afternoon at Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center. Her husband of 44 years, Allen Peter (Gary) Coccetti, preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 2001.

Born in Peckville, daughter of the late Adam and Mary Owens Banks, she was a graduate of Blakely High School. Before retiring, Bette was employed by Lockheed Martin, Archbald, for 35 years. She was a lifelong member of the Blakely Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Mission Belles and World Outlook League at the church.
Surviving are a son, Gary and wife, Doreen, Peckville; two daughters, Cynthia Lachovicz and husband, John; and Cheryl Rumford, all of Eynon; four grandchildren, Diana and Gina Coccetti, Kristen Lachovicz and Melanie Rumford; two great-grandchildren, Paislee Vangarelli and Gianna Clark; two sisters, Marilyn Craft, Whitney Point, N.Y.; and Sandra Austin and husband, Richard, Keller, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, George Banks; and a sister, Hilda Kloda.
In keeping with Bette's wishes, her viewing, funeral services and interment will be private. Arrangements are by the Hedley W. Mason Funeral Home, Peckville.
