Arlene Romich Lescinski, 84, of White Mills, died Tuesday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Andrew J. Lescinski Sr.

Born March 14, 1930, in Forest City, daughter of the late Harry and Mary Schuma Romich, she was a graduate of Honesdale High School. Born into the hotel and restaurant business, she was an accomplish chef, dining room and kitchen manager, caterer for many years. Later she was a senior caregiver and supervisor.
Arlene was a member of St. Joseph's Church, White Mills and now Queen of Peace in Hawley. She was an accomplished church organist, choir director and pianist for many churches. Arlene loved singing with the Wayne Choralaires and her voice was always appreciated and she taught many to sing and play.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the White Mills Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Church of St. Francis in Narrowsburg organist and choir. She so loved her family foremost, her flower gardens, horses and the puppies at the home of her daughter Patty and husband Gary, where she lived for the past four years.
Arlene will be greatly missed and in our hearts forever. Her talents and legacy live on in her family.
She is survived by her three children, Patricia Brown and husband, Gary, White Mills; Catherine Anke and husband, Richard, Hawley; and Jean Waters, R.N. and husband, Gary M., Waymart; a sister, Elizabeth Bauman, Lake Alden; a brother, Robert Romich, Lake Wallenpaupack; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Andrew J. IV; a baby daughter, Paula; and her brother, Harry (Sonny) Romich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Queen of Peace Church, Hawley. Interment will follow in Indian Orchard Cemetery.
