Mary J. Yatsko, 69, of Tunkhannock, died Wednesday at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Born Aug. 12, 1944, in Williamsport, daughter of the late Merritt and Anita Masaitis Williams, she was a graduate of the West Pittston High School. She received her RN at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse at the Exeter Twp. Medical Center.

Mary was a member of the Nativity BVM Catholic Church, Tunkhannock, and of the Marywood Campus Choir. She was a beloved aunt.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Sarah M. Arndt and husband, Thomas, Harveys Lake; her son, Harry B. Yatsko II and wife, Janie, Warwick, Md.; sister, Susan Blaum, R.N., Oaklyn, N.J.; five grandchildren, Alexandria, Breanna, Julia, Erik and Regan, whom she loved very much; nieces and nephews, George, Stephen, Valerie and Michael Yatsko, Donna and Stephen Merritt Williams Jr. and Dr. Louis III and Brian Blaum.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Merritt Williams.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in the Church of Nativity BVM. Interment, West Pittston Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Harding Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.
