Ronald James Lynn, 78, of Roaring Brook Twp., formerly of Throop and Dunmore, died Friday morning at Regional Hospice. He is survived by his wife, June Sheridan Lynn. They would have celebrated their 57th anniversary April 27.

Born Aug. 23, 1935, in Throop, son of the late James and Emma Terry Lynn, he graduated from Throop High School in 1953. He was a retired chief warrant officer for the Pennsylvania National Guard 109th Infantry for 37 years.
He enjoyed fishing and softball, and was a fan of the New York Yankees. He had a love for antique cars, and refurbished a 1936 Dodge that won many awards. He spent every summer taking his grandchildren to the Jersey Shore. He was so proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and never missed an event of theirs.
He is also survived by a daughter, Karen Richards and husband, Fred II, Covington Twp.; a son, Jeffrey Lynn, Roaring Brook Twp.; six grandchildren, Fred Richard III and wife Jennifer, Covington Twp.; Michele Kramer and husband, Warren, Spring Brook Twp.; Paul Richards and wife, Shelly, Covington Twp.; Melissa Snyder and husband, William, Madison Twp.; Joseph Richards and wife, Jaime, 29 Palms, Calif.; Rebecca Lynn and fiance, Gerry Turner, Berwick; sisters, Margerat Klintsky and husband, Ray, Wilkes-Barre; Jeanette Rysch and husband, Clinton, Mandan, N.D.; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, 445 Sanderson St., Throop, by the Rev. Jeffrey Levi. Interment, Scott Valley Cemetery, Montdale.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
