Shirley M. Stolarik of Dunmore died Friday at home.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Preston Howard and Emily Lutz Ross, she was educated in Scranton public schools and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Dunmore.
Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She loved working in her puzzle books, watching "The Chew," "HGTV," "Doctor Phil" and "Rachel Ray" and being around her pet cat, Niblet. She also enjoyed New York Yankees baseball and playing cards.
The family would like to thank the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the loving care given to Shirley and her family during her illness. The family would also like to thank Dr. Bria Tinsley for the care she provided to their mother.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Stolarik, Scranton; and Stephen and wife, Samantha Stolarik, Greenfield Twp.; four daughters, Mary Jean Narsavage, Dunmore; Ann Marie Peernock, Dunmore; Judy Stolarik, Scranton; and Laurie Stolarik and partner, Tammy Noble, Pottstown; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, John Stolarik; two brothers, Al and Ted Ross; and two sisters, Dorothy Hawley and Jean Eisenbacher.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Albert P. O'Donnell Funeral Home, 2025 Green Ridge St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, 322 Chestnut St., Dunmore. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Throop. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
