John J. O'Malley, 85, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Scranton, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014. He was the husband of the late Ann (Rafter).

John proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge, he began his long career as an accountant for U.S. Steel. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was the loving father of John J. (Kathi), Florida; Michael (Carol), Emsworth; and Joseph P. (Janet), Ross; proud grandfather of Joseph, Sean, Rachel, Michael Carey, Michael Raymond, Cory, Christopher and Jordan; and brother-in-law of Joan Phillips, Scranton; and the late Marjorie Brown and Grace Butler (Survived by Bill Butler). He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at T.B. Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15229. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday in St. John Neumann Church, Pittsburgh, at 10 a.m.
