Terrence E. Rieder, 57, a resident of Archbald, formerly of Hadley and Greentown, died Tuesday at work after suffering a heart attack. His first wife, the former Kathleen Davis, died Jan. 9, 2008. He and his second wife, the former Angela Drydol, would have celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary on June 20.

Born in Allegheny County, son of George Rieder and stepson of Cora Rieder, Grove City, and son of the late Juanita Rieder, he retired as a staff sergeant after 27 years of service with the Army. His service included serving in the Iraq War and Desert Storm. A lifetime member of the VFW, he was employed by PennDOT, Pike County.

He was an avid fisherman.

Also surviving are a son, Terry Rieder and his wife, Angela, Hadley; stepdaughter, Heather Drydol, Archbald; grandchildren, Makayla, Trinity, Paityn and Tanner Rieder; brothers and sisters, Sue Kims, Bob Rieder, Jimmy Rieder, Pebbles Rieder, Peggy Mason and Christine Agostino; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., Scranton.
