Mary Orbish, 88, a lifelong resident of Dickson City, died Monday at the Green Ridge Health Care Center, Scranton.

Born in Dickson City, daughter of the late John and Mary Palubinskas Marcinkevicz Orbish, she was a graduate of Dickson City High School, class of 1943, and was a member of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and faithfully attended First Friday and First Saturday devotions when she was able.

After graduation from high school she started working in local garment factories and worked for Loral (Daystrom), Archbald, for many years before her retirement.

Mary enjoyed going to Atlantic City, playing the lottery and Monday night bingo at St. Mary's School.

Surviving are a nephew, John Marcinkevicz, Vista, Calif., and his children and grandchildren; and nieces, Geraldine and Andrea Marcinkevicz, both of Dickson City.

She was also preceded in death by six brothers, George, John and Mathew Marcinkevicz, and Anthony, Joseph and Vincent Orbish and their wives.

The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Visitation Church, Dickson City. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Dickson City.
