Sara J. Bishop, 77, Clearwater Fla., died Sunday at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater. Her husband is Robert O. Bishop. The couple celebrated 54 years of marriage on Feb. 20.

Born in Susquehanna, daughter of the late Guy and Dorothy E. Stiles Olver, she was of the Protestant faith and a graduate of West Scranton High School. She was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Ralph Silverman in Binghamton, N.Y., and a receptionist for Drs. Thomas and Joseph Perfilio.

Sara enjoyed shopping with QVC. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who will be deeply missed.

Also surviving are two sons, Ray L. Bishop and Harry Oliva, both of Clearwater; a twin sister; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. at Davies & Jones Funeral Chapel, 135 S. Main Ave., Scranton, by the Rev. Arthur Davis, pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church. Interment will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
