Lillian Jackson, 74, of Tunkhannock, died Sunday at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, to whom she was married for 53 years.

She was born in Dickson City on July 7, 1939, the daughter of the late Willard Sr. and Blanch Hulse Cottrell.
She enjoyed camping and taking trips with her family. Lillian was mom to all those who got to know her.
She is survived by her children, Harry Jackson Jr. and his wife, Billie; Leroy Jackson and his wife, Alice, Tunkhannock; Andrew Jackson and his wife, Temré, North Carolina; Lillian Jurista, Joseph Jackson, Rita Nichols and her husband, Clint; and Ruth Schultz and her husband, Michael, all of Tunkhannock; brother, Willard Jr. and his wife, Beverly, Pittston; a special nephew, Thomas Bloom; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Erika Jackson; son, Chester Gordon Jackson; brothers and sisters, Ethel May, John, Joseph, Sarah and David Cottrell and Elizabeth Dalickas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 10 a.m. from Nativity BVM Church, Tunkhannock, with the Rev. Richard J. Polmounter officiating.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.
Interment, Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
