Dorothy Mae Moyle Dolph Carden, 92, formerly of John Street, Carbondale, died Friday at the Meadow View Senior Living Center, Montrose. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas F. Dolph, in 1959 and her second husband, Fred Carden, in 1996.

Born in Jermyn, daughter of the late James Edward and Anna Anastasia Burke Moyle, she was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. She was a graduate of Mayfield High School, class of 1939. After residing in Mayfield for a short time, she resided in Carbondale for most of her life. She enjoyed bingo, reading, soap operas, and visiting with family and friends. She especially enjoyed visiting with her wonderful neighbors; and most of all she was a wonderful and caring mother who loved her family very much.
She was a cancer survivor. Her family was very happy to have her in their lives for almost 93 years. She will be greatly missed, but we have an abundance of memories of our times together. Rest in Peace Mom; We love you.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Dolph and wife, Mary, Archbald; Fred Carden and wife, Karen, Montrose; a daughter, Roseann Andersen, Bristow, Va.; five grandchildren, Thomas and wife, Karen; Mark; and Michele Dolph and companion, Jesse Connor; Lisa Catalina and her husband, Robbie; and Laura Riley and her husband, Ryan; three great-grandchildren, Jessica and Thomas Dolph and Emma Connor; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marion; three sisters, Louise Hines, Catherine Moyle, Joann Moyle; four brothers, Edward, Joseph, Paul J. and Kenneth Moyle.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment, Saint Rose of Lima Cemetery, Carbondale.
