Ellen K. Masters, 82, of Binghamton, N.Y., formerly of Scranton, died Sunday at Wilson Hospital in Binghamton. She was the widow of Frederick Masters, who died Dec. 18, 2008.

Born in Conshohocken, daughter of the late Edwin and Ellen Kerr Kirk, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Surviving are three sons, Frederick Jr. and wife, Diane, Windsor, N.Y.; Joseph, Scranton; and John, Dickson City; two daughters, Sandra Mullen and husband, Pat, Avoca; and Diane Fargo and husband, Tom, Harpersville, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Mark Walters and wife, Melissa; Christina Horne, Frederick Masters III and Nicole, Justin and Abby Fargo; a great-granddaughter, Lyla Walters; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Masters; and two sisters, Mae and Jodi Kirk.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Davies & Jones Funeral Chapel, 135 S. Main Ave., Scranton, by the Rev. Ginger Daubenhauser, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church.
Friends may call Wednesday from 9 until the time of the service.
