Grace M. Lang, 97, of Greentown, died Wednesday morning at VNA Hospice at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. She was the widow of Charles Lang, who died in 1973.

Born in Midville Borough, Luzerne County, daughter of the late Michael and Helen Gubek Nemeth, she had resided in Greentown since 1960 and before that in Scranton. Grace had worked as a presser for Casual Sportswear and after moving to Greentown, owned and operated Lang's Store on Route 507. She was a member of St. Rita's Parish churches.
Grace loved all animals, especially cats, and was an accomplished baker and gardener.
She is survived by a daughter, Helen G. and husband, John Heron, Greentown; a son, Charles M. Lang Sr. and wife, Diana, Greentown; grandchildren, Nicole and husband, Charles Hoinowski, Hughesville; and Charles M. Lang Jr. and wife, Christina, Greentown; great-grandchildren, Chase Lang, Jackson and Caterina Hoinowski; stepgreat-grandchildren, Sunshine and Michael Thornburgh; a sister, Rose Nemeth, Dickson City; nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Allied Skilled Nursing, Scranton, for their care of their mother.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Veronica, Lake Wallenpau-pack, by the Rev. John Ruth. Interment, Pine Grove Cemetery, South Sterling.
