Albert "Buddy" Kubrick, 82, of Olyphant, died Thursday evening at home. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lucille Ritzco Kubrick. The couple just celebrated their wedding anniversary on May 7.

Born in Virginia, son of the late Andrew and Mary Klapatch Kubrick, he was a veteran of the Army and the 101st Airborne. He served during the Korean War. Following his service to his country, he enrolled at Johnson Technical School.

He was a self-employed general contractor. He was a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Jessup, and a former member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Greek Ukrainian Catholic Church, Olyphant.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and jack-of-all-trades, who could build and fix anything. He enjoyed going to the casino, dining out and his family, and worked hard at his career. He will be dearly missed.

Also surviving are three daughters, Lisa Taylor and husband, Edmund, Springfield; Leah Gerow and husband, Arnold, Olyphant; and Lori Cole, Olyphant; three brothers, Eddie and wife, Ellen, New York; Billy and wife, Joan, Olyphant; and Bobby and wife, Hannah, Olyphant; a sister, Natalie Lippin, Virginia; five grandchildren, Alisha, Amanda and Ashley Taylor, Coury Minet and Kerri Wydeen and husband, Randy; two great-grandchildren, Brendan and Genesis.

The funeral will be on Monday at 9 a.m. from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., Jessup, with Divine Liturgy at 9:30 at Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Jessup.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. with Parastas at 7:30 at the funeral home.
