William J. Cyganick, 62, a resident of Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart, and formerly of Jefferson Twp., died Thursday afternoon at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.

Born April 1, 1952, in Jersey City, N.J., son of Eileen Cox Cyganick of Lake Ariel and the late Joseph Cyganick, he was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the Navy for 18 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and was a former member of VFW Post 6520 in Cortez.

He is also survived by a daughter, Annette Lloyd, Carbondale; three grandchildren, Cody, Brody and Allisah; a sister, Carolyn Balconis, Jefferson Twp.; three brothers, Steven Cyganick, Carbondale; Michael Cyganick, Jefferson Twp.; and Thomas Cyganick, Jefferson Twp.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Harry Cyganick.
