David F. Perry, 66, of North Scranton, died Monday while fishing in Lackawaxen Twp., Pike County. His wife is Anita Scovazzo Perry and the couple would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on Sept. 19.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Francis F. and Mary D. Davies Perry, David was a 1966 graduate of Scranton Central High School, a graduate of Culinary Arts at Luzerne County Community College and an Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. David had worked for Superior Generator & Armature Co., and retired from Scranton Lace Co. He was a volunteer chef at St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen and was the employed weekend chef for the Kitchen.

Surviving are nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, John.
