Victoria T. Laskiewicz, 80, a longtime resident of Spring Brook Twp., died Friday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. Her husband of 58 years is Edmund T. Laskiewicz.

Born in Taylor, daughter of the late John and Victoria Szaflarski Samsock, she was a graduate of Taylor High School. For many years until her retirement, she was the business coordinator at St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home, Elmhurst Twp. After her retirement, she was the caregiver for her daughter, Victoria. Victoria was an avid gardener and loved her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Moscow.

Also surviving are four daughters, Ann Marie Laskiewicz–Ross, Bejing, China; Theresa Laskiewicz, Washington; Victoria M. Laskiewicz, at home; and Martha Henwood and husband, Bruce, Greentown; two sons, Thomas Laskiewicz, Gouldsboro; and Paul Laskiewicz and wife, Cindy, Virginia; two brothers, Frank and Carl Samsock; six grandchildren, Althea and Christopher Ross, Penn and Troy Laskiewicz, Dylan and Madison Henwood; several nieces and 

She was also preceded in death by sisters, Helen, Nellie, Adelle, Anna and an infant sister, Adelle; and brothers, John, Stanley, Louis and Joseph.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 3 First St., Spring Brook Twp., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Church St., Moscow, to be celebrated by the Rev. Robert Simon, pastor. Interment will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Covington Twp.

A viewing will be held Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
