Thomas A. Burnett, 48, of Kingston, formerly of Spring Brook Twp., died Thursday.
The Guest Book is expired.
Born in Scranton, son of the late John E. and Grace Walsh Burnett, he was a graduate of North Pocono High School, and earned an associate degree in electronics from Johnson School of Technology and a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Scranton. He was a case administrator for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania. Previously, he was a news and consumer reporter for WNEP-TV.
Tom enjoyed boating and water skiing with family and friends at Lake Wallenpaupack. He had the greatest amount of compassion a person could have. When he asked, "How are you?" and, "What's going on?" he really wanted to know, and he listened carefully because he cared.
He is survived by two sisters, Grace Sosik, Lehigh Valley; and Mary Bogart and husband, Len, Moscow; a brother, Joseph and his wife, Celia, Covington Twp.; an aunt, two uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Burnett; and a brother-in-law, Scott Sosik.
A private funeral was held Tuesday with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Eulalia Church, Elmhurst, celebrated by Monsignor John Jordan, pastor, followed by interment at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow. Pallbearers were Mark Burnett, Patrick Sosik, Mike McHugh, Bill Moser, Jeff Rader, Mike Smihosky and Jonathan Hatcher. Arrangements were by the Neil W. Regan Funeral Home Inc., 1900 Pittston Ave.,
